CLUB CANDELA is a monthly salsa event in Shrewsbury run by the Candela crew, salsa obsessed volunteers dedicated to providing (and enjoying!) hot, latin sounds from professional DJs and the best in salsa instruction from national and international salsa teachers.

The salsa nights take place in the Adam Ballroom at the Lion Hotel, Shrewsbury. It's a beautiful, listed ballroom with a fabulous dance floor. The venue page on this site has pictures and more details.

The next Club Candela is FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 12th

We take a break in August but we are back in September with KAREL of HABANA LOKO, Leamington Spa

and a class in Cuban Son, plus great salsa dance tracks from resident DJ Diablo and our guest DJ.


Everybody's welcome, it's great music and dancing, in a relaxed atmosphere, in a wonderful venue.

A note about the bar...... a BIG THANKS to all of you who supported the bar and bought tap water, soft drinks, alcohol etc. We appreciate your cooperation. It means we are more likely to be able to keep a late bar and a great venue like the Lion Hotel.
